Fresh 48 FAQs

A. These are intimate lifestyle sessions within the first 24-48 hours at the place of delivery (hospital, home, or birth center) that document the very beginning of your baby’s life. Those fleeting moments like the new little toes and fingers, snuggling close to the fresh baby smell, how tiny they are in the baby bassinet, feeding, first bath, or the first time they meet their siblings/family members. 

A. So you are wanting to schedule a session and would like o know what it is going to be like. I will always communicate when I will be there and give you a heads up. Once in the room I may look around a little to see if there are other details I can start documenting. I will always ask for permission to handle your newest addition. And from there the story just begins to unfold. Your memories captured for years to come.

A. To be fully prepared, the best time to schedule your Fresh 48 is about 3 weeks before your estimated due date. The couple days notice helps ensure I will be available. (Please do a courtesy call when you are in labor) However I do accept last minute sessions if I am able to do so. Feel free to reach out to me anytime!

A. Ohhh YESI do! I am a trained Doula that has done Birth Photography for several years. I do take limited number of births a month so it is better to contact me right after your first trimester. A. I am so thrilled that you are commissioning Jenni G Photography for your intimate session. I start with a simple phone consultation to get to know one another and to customize your session to your family.

I require a $50 non refundable retainer for Fresh 48 Sessions. This will secure your “time” and place you on my calendar. Sessions must be paid in full before photographs are taken. I accept all major credit cards, cash, or PayPal.

A. These documentary sessions are for the immediate family members. This is a time to capture your bonding with the little one. I do ask that we schedule a time when you will be okay with having no visitors for 45 minutes. 

A. I will be there 45 minutes to an hour. And I have two packages available. Starting at $250. For full details please contact me and we will discuss further. ($50 retainer will be applied to the package you choose). My packages are digital and you will receive printing release form.

You will also receive a sneak peek within 24 hours and the full gallery in two weeks.

A. You can choose to wear clothes or hospital gowns. It’s how you want the session to be documented. I have had parents with coordinating colors to basic fresh white look. They both look great as long as there are no mismatched patterns or logo type shirts.

White for baby would be best.

A.  Please make sure you give yourself enough time to get ready so that when I arrive we can begin. (Don’t fret too much, you just had a baby!)

Schedule the session for when the best natural (sunlight) comes into your room.

To be able to get a variety of photographs feeding baby a little before I arrive helps. (Unless you definitely want to document a feeding session). I am willing to do any kind of feeding portraits if you would like that documented.

Let me help with the other kiddos. Remember this is a documentary session capturing just how everyone was at the time of meeting the newest addition.

Feel free to tell me if you have an idea you do want captured. Although these are not posed baby sessions if you have a sentimental stuffie or blanket you’d like to use I am fine with doing so.

A. For personal use, photographs taken by Jenni G photography should be clearly identified. Photographs that are not watermarked can be identified with a text credit to Jenni G Photography or by tagging Jenni G Photography if on social media.

You will receive a copy of the limited print reproduction release. This gives you the right to print the files as often as needed and to use the images however you’d like for personal needs. This may include scrap-booking, personal websites, social media, gifts for family and friends, etc.

All legal commercial rights are reserved by Jenni G photography. As such, photos may not be resold in their original or altered state, nor used for third-party business purposes, including but not limited to, all forms of advertising.
