NICU Sessions

Speaking from a mom who has had a couple of babies in the NICU (who didn't have a photographer available).....  


Oh yes, it was definitely a stressful time in our lives. This tiny new baby was born and I was NOT expecting a NICU stay. The days were long, they even ran together and all I wanted was for my child to be okay and to get the heck out of there and take my baby home. I got one photograph that the nurses took (while I was recuperating from my C-section) and it meant more to me than anyone could ever realize. Even though my son's NICU stay was shorter then many, all I had to document that time was a cell phone. I have maybe a handful of photographs - and that is tough. (and mind you they definitely are not print worthy!)

Your baby is going through something that wasn't planned but it can still be documented. To be honest, this is what really drove my passion to becoming the professional photographer that I am today.
