When you look through my website or my work, you’ll notice small details that keep showing up — dragonflies, touches of blue, and forget-me-nots. They aren’t random design choices. They’re deeply personal reminders of someone I love, and they’re woven into everything I do as a photographer.
In May of 2024, I lost my dad. He was such a steady, important presence in my life, and his absence has left a space that words can’t fully describe. In the middle of that grief, I found myself clinging to little things that reminded me of him. Blue was his favorite color. Forget-me-nots hold the kind of meaning you don’t have to explain — they’re a simple, powerful reminder not to let go of the memories that matter most. And dragonflies… they’ve become a sign of comfort for me. Every time one appears, it feels like a whisper that he’s still near, still watching, still proud.
Including these symbols in my brand and my photography isn’t just about honoring him, though. It’s also about honoring family. My dad’s love and his influence helped shape the kind of mom, friend, and photographer I am today. Every session I photograph, every family I meet, every moment I freeze in time — it all ties back to the belief that these connections are what matter most.
So when you see dragonflies on my site, or notice hints of blue, or even hear me talk about forget-me-nots, know that they’re more than decoration. They’re my way of saying: family is precious. Memories matter. And the people we love deserve to be remembered in every way we can hold onto them.
This is why I care so deeply about what I do. Your photos aren’t just pictures to me — they’re pieces of your story, and they deserve the same kind of care and meaning I’ve poured into mine.
